Credella (Clark) Shriver

Clara Credella Shriver, 90, of Beallsville, Ohio died peacefully in the home that she loved surrounded by family on Sunday, October 10, 2021.  She was born March 19, 1931 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Eugene Larmie and Mable Catherine Mace Clark. 

 Credella was a lady of many talents and interests.  She loved sewing, crocheting, and crafting; she also enjoyed sharing her beautiful creations with others.  For many years she crocheted hats and headbands for the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She often made monetary contributions to help patients with pancreatic cancer, a cause which was very near to her heart.  She was loyal member of the Beallsville Church of Christ.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clark "Bob" Shriver on November 7, 2001; brothers, George Robert Clark, Russell Evert Clark, Charles Phillip Clark, and Leroy Howard Clark; sisters, Lucille Irene Shultz and Madeline "Mamie" Paul Lykens; son-in-law, Richard James Bayus.

 Left to cherish her memory are six children, sons William Robert "Bill" (Cyndi) Shriver and Samuel Dean (Becky) Shriver, both of Beallsville; daughters, Cathy Eugenia (Steve) Mencer of Hopedale, Cheryl Kay Shriver of Zanesville, Carol Sue (the late Richard) Bayus of Grove City, and Beth Ann (Cecil) Criddle of Dover; brothers, Bernard Eugene Clark and Elroy Lenard Clark; sisters, Elizabeth Louella Kelley, Mable Euniomia McClurg, Blanche Isabell Armstrong, and Esther Grace Dailey; grandchildren, Amy, Jennifer, Ryan, Lee, Billy, Connor, Colton, Robby, Taylor, Scott, Ashley, Chentell, and Marissa; nine great-grandchildren.

Credella's family would like to thank their mother's special friends, Lavella Decker and Vonnie Hranko for the time they spent visiting with and caring for Credella.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 14 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville. Visitation will then be held Friday, October 15 at the Beallsville Church of Christ, 52125 TR 134, Beallsville, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am with Minister Jeff Rich officiating.  Burial follows in Beallsville Cemetery.

 In keeping with her giving spirit, Credella's family requests that in lieu of flowers and keepsakes, contributions be made in her memory to Beallsville Church of Christ, 52125 TR 134, Beallsville, Ohio  43716
