Donald Lee Brown

Donald Lee Brown, 79, of Beallsville, Ohio died at home while doing what he loved, taking care of his home and spending time with his family on Monday, May 31, 2021. He was born January 19, 1942 in Marshall County, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles and Merle Terrell Brown.

Don was a proud US Army Veteran and a retired employee of the former North American Coal #5 Mine.  

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon Westfall Brown to whom he was married on November 12,1966; six sons, Don (Laura) Brown, Patrick (Vivian) Brown, Dan (Amanda) Brown, Doug Brown, Dustin Brown, and Jerry (Amy) Brown; 10 grandchildren, Donnie, Logan, Tristan, Christopher, Ethan, Nathanael, Sharidan, Wesley, Madeline, and Katherine; three great-grandchildren, Colt, Beau, and Braxton; two step grandchildren, Zachary and Michael; two step great-grand children, Parker and Audrey; a brother,  John Brown and a sister, Ruth (John) Andrews; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.  

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenny, Jim, and Charles Brown. 

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, Friday, June 4 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:30pm with full military honors by American Legion Post 768.  In keeping with Don's giving spirit, in lieu of flowers and keepsakes contributions may be made to the family to be donated to a charity close to Don's heart.
