William Bilyeu Obituary

William “Bill” Bilyeu, 72, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in Continuing Healthcare of Shadyside, Shadyside, Ohio. He was born May 19, 1949 in the community of Ozark, near Beallsville, Ohio, the oldest of three sons of the late Harold and Lela Wolfe Bilyeu.

Bill was a proud US Air Force Veteran. Over the years he enjoyed a career in sales in the mining industry, traveling throughout the tri-state area making friends while visiting business contacts. He was an avid golfer and hunter, but his greatest joy came from time spent with his grandson, Eligha, playing football and baseball and also watching Eligha’s games.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia "Patti" Maceyko Bilyeu and a nephew, Mark Bilyeu.  Surviving are his children, Michael (Maureen) Bilyeu and Amy Bilyeu; his grandson, Eligha Hill, Jr., all of St. Clairsville; two brothers, Dave Bilyeu of Beallsville and Gary (Ann) Bilyeu of McConnelsville; several nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

To celebrate Bill’s life, a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, Saturday, July 17 from 12 noon until 2pm at which time Full Military honors by American Legion Post 768 will be presented.  A time of sharing memories and stories will begin, following the presentation of Military Honors. All are invited to honor Bill’s memory by sharing their memories of both Bill and Patti.  In lieu of flowers and keepsakes,  please visit www.michaeljfox.org to learn of opportunities for memorial contributions or to learn more about Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinson’s Research.
