Alice Perkins, 82, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in the Arbors at Woodsfield surrounded by family. She was born October 19, 1940 near Armstrongs Mills, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Goldia Willison Graham.
Alice was a member of the Armstrongs Mills Church of Christ, the New Castle Homemakers, the Monroe Singers, and the former Sweet Adelines. For many years she served as a precinct worker for the Belmont County Board of Elections in Wayne Township and as recently as this past November’s election she was at her job from early morning until the last votes were cast. A lady of many talents and interests, Alice loved to sing and she enjoyed cooking and baking. She will be remembered for her delicious desserts like pumpkin pie and a family favorite, her famous cooked apples. However her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of over 63 years, Marvin Perkins; four sons, Chris (Nellie) Perkins, Eric (Deana) Perkins, Brent (Lori) Perkins, Darrell (Julie) Perkins; 11 grandchildren, Crystal (Brent) Polen, Justin (Mary) Perkins, Chelsea (Aaron) Nall, Cambria Westfall, Aaron (Megan) Perkins, Andrew (Emilee) Perkins, Jonah (Alexis) Perkins, Hannah (Cole) Carpenter, Lane (Andrea) Perkins, Marissa (Billy) Arigoni, and Nathan Perkins; 15 great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild to arrive in the Spring.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by siblings, Arlie Graham, Bob Willison, Gladys Tomlinson, Raymond Graham, Harry “Chub” Graham, George Graham, Clyde Graham, and John Graham, also an infant sister, Rhea Graham.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel where funeral services will be held Friday, January 13 at 1pm with Ministers Jack Turner and Jeff Gallaher officiating. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. In keeping with Alice's giving spirit, in lieu of flowers and keepsakes, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Beallsville Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 68, Beallsville, Ohio 43716.
