Alice Edith Smith

Alice Edith Smith, 81, of Beallsville died Monday, November 3, 2014 in Medical Park Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia. She was born December 21, 1932 in Portage County, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Marie Etling Heflick. Alice was a member of the former Zion United Methodist Church near Clarington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duane "Bud" Smith on May 20, 2002, a son, Michael Smith, two daughters, Debbie Welch and Julie Moles; also by a brother, George Heflick. Surviving are a son Richard Smith of West Virginia; a brother, Sam (RaeMarie) Heflick of Cardington, Ohio; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, November 10, at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM with Kevin Fannin officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery near Clarington.
