Alma Ruth (High) Pittman

Alma Ruth Pittman, 89, of Rittman, Ohio, formerly of Beallsville, Ohio  passed away, Saturday, June 1, 2024 while a patient in JAG Healthcare of Burbank. She was born December 11, 1934 in Rittman, a daughter of the late Russell High and Ruth Gallagher High Striker.

Alma was a devoted, hard-working wife and mother. She enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music and going to yard sales. However everyone who knew her would agree that her family was her life.  In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Pittman; four children, Ed Pittman, Chuck Pittman, Ruth Meade, and Rita McCammon; her siblings, George High, Viola Davis, and Lois Hammond. 

Left to honor her memory are her children, Deborah Lauinger, Carol Garens, and Leonard Pittman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also many friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 8 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Harper Chapel, Beallsville from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2pm with Wayne Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
