Amy Lee Doughty

Amy Doughty, 56, of Beallsville died Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. She was born January 18, 1958 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Myron "Bud" and Mary Kerry Beck. She was an employee of the Captina Carry Out, near Beallsville. Amy will be remembered for her love for her family, her loyalty to her friends, and her beautiful smile. Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Bill Doughty; a daughter, Erin Doughty, and two grandchildren, Jayson and Alivia Ramsey all of Beallsville; four brothers, Daniel Beck of Barnesville, John (Trudy) Beck of Etna, Andrew Beck and Mathew Beck, both of Jackson; three sisters, Joyce (Bob) Shaw of Shadyside, Heidi Beck of Tampa, FL, and MaryAnn (Dave) Carper of Jackson; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Beck. A celebration of Amy's life will be held Saturday, March 22 at 4:00 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville; friends and family may call two hours prior to the service. According to Amy's wishes, cremation will take place and inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
