Annie L. Dillon, 81, of Jerusalem, Ohio, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Arbors of Woodsfield Nursing Facility. She was born August 10, 1935 near Beallsville, a daughter of the late Melville Wilson and Anna Laura Reed McFrederick. She was a member of the Belmont Ridge Christian Church, a 4-H advisor, and a member of the former Beallsville Pythian Sisters. Annie enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports, going to garage sales, and camping at the Monroe County Fair. One of her greatest joys was playing country music; she loved time spent performing with various local bands, including the "Country Swingers" and "Breakin' Even." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Reed McFrederick; a sister, Mary Ellen Howell, two grandsons, Troy Dion Swoyer and Charley Jon Dillon. Surviving are her loving husband of 64 years, Donnie Dillon; six children, Donna (Bill) Weber, Randy (Sharon) Dillon, Mac (Ilene) Dillon, and Barney Dillon, all of Jerusalem, Nancy (Dave) Morris of Alledonia and Audrey Dillon of Barnesville; a brother, Rod McFrederick (Helen Doudna) of Beallsville and a sister, Miriam (Delbert) Cornett of Zanesville; 19 grandchildren, Daina Sharples, Bill Anderson, Chris Anderson, Amy Caldwell, Liza Spence, Travis Dillon, Nathan Carleton, Zac Carleton, Erin Diosi, Dustin Dillon, Jani Wheeler, Jodi Frye, Kyla Morris, Annie Phillips, Dove Winkler, Daniel Morris, Alex Davidson, Brandon Davidson, and Courtney Davidson; also 26 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, January 2, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 3 at 1pm with Jim Russ officiating. Interment follows in Jerusalem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Annie's family requests that memorial contributions be made to Empowering C.A.R.E, c/o 220 Maple Avenue, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
