Barbara Jean Coe

Barbara Jean Coe, 77, of Beallsville (Ozark Community) passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital. She was born June 17,1942 in Buckhannon, WV (Upshur County), a daughter of the late Otis and Ada Hyre Casto. Barbara was a lady of many talents; she will be remembered for her quilting, her crafts, and her cooking, but most importantly she will be remembered for her tremendous heart and her gift of laughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Cathy Jean Coe and Kellie Coe; her grandson Randal Pittman; also her son-in-law, Scott Pittman. Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 58 years, Virgil Glenn Coe, Jr.; her daughter, Karen Coe Pittman and her fiancé, Mike Britton of Jerusalem; two brothers, Dent (Glenna) Casto and Terry (Rita) Casto of Pittsburgh; a half-sister, Nancy Stinner of Pittsburgh; also the "family-of-her-heart," Lloyd and Emma Jean Ferguson along with their family of Beallsville. In keeping with Barbara's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service, however to honor her life and her giving spirit, a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
