Bernard Craig Obituary

Bernard C. Craig, 80, of Beallsville, Ohio died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his home. He was born May 10, 1936 near Laings, Ohio, a son of the late Delbert and Rose Alleman Craig. He was retired from Labors' Union #1149, however his friends and family knew that he would never retire from his vocation of choice . . . farming. Bernard attended East Sunbury Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Craig and Dean Craig, also by one sister, Goldie Craig. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Eleanor Perkins Craig; three daughters, Delores (Virgil) Boughner, Donna (Kevin) Neiswanger, and Diana (Rusty) Stephen, all of Beallsville; one brother, Paul Craig of Sardis; four sisters, Helen Craig and Evelyn Craig, both of Columbus, Doris Craig of Marietta, and Nina (Terry) Ice of Woodsfield; eight grandchildren, Trisha (Travis) Dillon, Ryan Boughner, and Tiffany (Jake) Klayko, Chelsea Neiswanger, Evan Neiswanger, and Craig Neiswanger, Ashley (Avery) Dukes, and Brett (Kristin) Stephen; also eight great-grandchildren, Eli and Owen Dillon, Brayden Klayko, Ashton Arteaga, Tearyn, Daevon, and Mya Dukes, and Laynah Stephen. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23 from 2 PM to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 24 at 11 AM with Pastor Max Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. Bernard's family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Gas Cards, Inc., c/o Shirley Brown, 48387 Keylor Hill Road, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793.
