Bernice M. Carpenter

Bernice M. Carpenter, 92, of Woodsfield, Ohio and formerly of Beallsville, Ohio died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Arbors of Woodsfield. She was born July 27, 1925 near Beallsville, a daughter of the late Bert and Nancy Gates Fraley. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Chester, and Glenn Fraley. Surviving are her devoted husband of 32 years, Glen Carpenter; three children, Ron (Norma) Rucker and Vickie (Dan) Schaffer, both of Beallsville and Carolyn (Jim) Loughery of Woodsfield; two stepsons, Rick (Renee) Carpenter of Barnesville and Doug (Sherry) Carpenter of Stow; one sister, Jessie Snyder of Woodsfield; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; one step great great-granddaughter; five step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5pm to 8pm at Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Monday at 11am with Robert Fraley officiating. Burial follows in Beallsville Cemetery.
