Beulah Johnson, 94, of Beallsville, Ohio died Monday, May 9, 2016 at her home. She was born May 10, 1921 near Beallsville, a daughter of the late Thurman and Jennie Jackson Bolon. She was a member of the East Sunsbury Baptist Church and attended the Beallsville First Christian Church. Beulah was also a member of the Pythian Sisters, the Philodendron Twig of Barnesville Hospital, and the "Monroe Miserable Misfits," Camping Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arley in 1994; an infant son, John Paul; a son, James Johnson; two brothers, Raymond and Paul Bolon; two sisters Margaret Holland and Mary Bolon; a son-in-law, Jim Thompson. Left to mourn her passing are two daughters, Connie (Bill) Ward, and Ruth Thompson; a son, Steve (Teresa) Johnson, all of Beallsville; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Johnson of Clarington; seven grandchildren, Pam (Dan) Stewart, Lisa (Larry) Burkhart, John Ward, Shelly Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Steve (Chana) Johnson, Holly (Jeff) Bergman; 11 great-grandchildren, Sasha (Mark) Lawson, Ciera (Luke) Morrison, Taylor Stewart, Jamie Johnson, Ashlynn and Allison Johnson, Braden and Owen Johnson, Arleigh and George Bergman, Colton Johnson; four great great-granddaughters, Hallie, Zoey, and Ziva Lawson, and Aerilyn Morrison; several nieces and nephews; her care-givers, Sine Ingold, Susan Stewart, Kitty Kahrig, Becky McGee, and Jenny Kimble. Beulah will be forever remembered for her gentle spirit, her positive nature, and her sense of humor; she was beloved by all who knew her. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 12 at 11 AM with Wayne Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. In keeping with Beulah's giving spirit, her family would like to request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "Rally for Life"
