Bob Wheeler, 83, of Jerusalem, Ohio died Friday, September 18, 2020 at his home. He was born September 15, 1937 in Belmont County, Ohio, a son of the late Cecil and Lela Foreman Wheeler. Bob was a retired cast house employee at the former ORMET Corporation near Hannibal; however in his heart he never retired from his vocation of choice, farming. He and his late wife, Carol Froehlich Wheeler were owners of "Pumpkin Valley Farm." They will be remembered with a smile by families far and near who visited their farm as well as their displays at the "Barnesville Pumpkin Festival," each year in search of just the right pumpkins, gourds, and fall decorations for their homes. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, James and Karen Wheeler of Jerusalem; two grandsons, Dustin Wheeler of Jerusalem and Derek Wheeler of New Athens; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Wheeler; two brothers, Bill Wheeler and Lewis (Marlene) Wheeler, both of Alliance; also several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and loving wife, Carol, Bob was was preceded in death by five brothers, Gene, Don, Dick, Harold, and Ted Wheeler; also a sister, Donna Percy. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22 from 3pm to 7pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23 at 11am with Pastor Darla Schnegg officiating. Interment follows in Jerusalem Cemetery.
