Carl R. Book

Carl R. Book, 90, of Beallsville, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 in Barnesville Hospital. He was born November 20, 1920 on Mellott Ridge, near Beallsville, a son of the late John W. and Malissa Bolon Book. Carl was a farmer, a retired employee of CONALCO near Hannibal, and he was a member of the Mellott Ridge Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Biles Book on February 25, 2007, one brother Russell Book, and two sisters Hazel Decker and Nellie Hendershot. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Marlene Book, a grandson, Nathan Book and a granddaughter, Melinda Book all of Jerusalem, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 PM with Minister Tim Fleeman officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
