Carl Leroy Vanness

Carl Leroy Vanness, 88, of Beallsville, Ohio died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the Arbors at Woodsfield. He was born August 1, 1928, near Cameron, Ohio, a son of the late William and Lulabelle Palmer Vanness. Carl was employed for many years by the former Blaney Sawmill and Lumber Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy; four brothers, Russell, Ralph, William, and Clarence Vanness; four sisters, Emmie Vanness, Dorothy Phillips, Elsie Vanness, and Martha McGinnis. Surviving are a son, Lowell (Channon) Vanness of Beallsville; a daughter, Kristi (Jeff) Holiday of Creston; three granddaughters, Stacy Vanness of Lower Salem, Tiara Vanness, and Brooke Holiday of Creston; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Thursday, March 30 at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Minister Josh Hetrick officiating. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
