Carolyn Joyce Perkins, 82, of Beallsville, Ohio (Wilson Community), passed away at her home on Sunday, July 27, 2025 following a long illness. A daughter of the late Franklin and Clara McDougal Bauer, Carolyn was born June 5, 1943 in Bellaire, Ohio. She had been a clerk for many years at the former M & K Market in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Edwin Perkins on December 19, 2018 and a sister, Mary Ann Bauer.
Carolyn will be remembered by everyone who knew her as a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had been blessed with endless creativity and talents and patrons from far and near looked forward to visiting craft shows each year for a chance to see the beautiful blankets and baby books Carolyn had created and maybe even purchase some of her delicious home-made cookies, cakes, candy, and fudge for which she was well-known.
Left to honor her memory are a daughter, Carrie Perkins (Lance Smeal) of Cottonwood, Arizona; a granddaughter, Cayla Perkins of Beallsville; a brother, Roy Bauer of St. Clairsville; several nieces and nephews, also many friends.
Family and friends are invited to graveside services Saturday, August 2 at 11am in the Beallsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, Carolyn’s family requests that memorial contributions be made to Cancer Gas Cards, Inc., c/o Shirley Brown, 48397 Keylor Hill Road, Woodsfield, OH 43793.
