Charles "Charlie" Crooks

Charles "Charlie" Crooks, 73, of Malaga, Ohio died Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Barnesville Hospital. He was born April 25, 1945 near Alledonia, Ohio, the youngest child of the late Samuel and Nettie Poole Crooks. Charlie was a retired employee of Ohio Valley Coal near Beallsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Herman, Earl, Clyde, Paul, and Opal, also by his father-in-law, Marvin Hossman. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife of 45 years, Carol Hossman Crooks; two sons, Brad Crooks (Loretta Stephens) of Jerusalem and Scottie Crooks (Jessica Byers) of Barnesville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Taylor and Jovi of Barnesville; also his mother-in-law, Bertha Hossman of Malaga. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31 at 11am with Kim McFarland officiating. Burial follows in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charlie's name may be made to Barnesville Hospital, 639 West Main Street, Barnesville, OH 43713.
