Chlo Kirkbride, 95, a resident of Emerald Point Nursing and Rehab Center, Barnesville and formerly of Jerusalem, Ohio died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in the Center. She was born December 13, 1919 in Belmont County, a daughter of the late Casper and Shirley Warner Brownfield. Chlo was a member of the Church of Christ and a former council member for the Village of Jerusalem. Spending time with her family was what was most important to Chlo, however she considered the years that she spent traveling the county fair racing circuit with her husband Raymond, as some of the best times of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; three brothers, Rome, Sylvan, and Joe Brownfield; three sisters, Pearl Day, Migynon Brownfield, and May Huffman. Surviving are two daughters, Edna May (Nattie) Groves of Newark and Connie (JB) Majors of Barnesville; seven grandchildren, Debbie, Ray, Doug, Kent, Sam, Lacey, and Justin; 12 great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Minister Kim McFarland officiating. Interment follows in Jerusalem Cemetery.
