Charles William "Chuck" Davis, 68, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Medical Park Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia. He was born May 18, 1949 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of Lloyd Dale Davis, Sr. and the late Zelda Emerick Davis. Chuck was a proud US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired employee of Ohio Valley Coal #6 Mine with 30 years of service. He was a member of Beallsville's Sunsbury Lodge #362 F&AM, a life member of Beallsville American Legion Post 768 where he served as Past Commander; an active member of Amvets Post 61 of Hillsboro; Woodsfield VFW Post 5303; Woodsfield Moose Post 2247; Woodsfield Fraternal Order of Eagles #2302, and the Beallsville Sportsman's Club. Surviving in addition to his father, Lloyd, Sr. of Bloomingdale, are his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Salsberry Davis; three daughters, Michele (Rebecca) Davis, Lori (Jerry) Gallaher, and Becky (Johnnie) Rase; 12 grandchildren, Randy, Jr. (Amanda), Brandon, Toby, Kalle, Hunter, Nicki, Elijah, Piper, Rane, Chloe, Austin, and Koltan; three great-grandchildren, Jax, Knox, and Paige; four sisters, Joyce Hitchcock, Diane (John) Arbogast, Donna Beckley, and Tonya Boyce; also one brother, Ronald (Carol) Davis. In addition to his mother, Zelda, Chuck was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Davis, Jr., also by his father and mother-in-law, William and Nora Flowers Salsberry. Visitation will be Friday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am with American Legion Post 768 officiating. Interment with full military honors follows in Beallsville Cemetery. Masonic Services will be conducted Friday evening at 7:45pm. In lieu of flowers, Chuck's family requests that memorial contributions be made to Cancer Gas Cards, Inc., c/o Shirley Brown, 48397 Keylor Hill Road, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793.
