Clara "Jackie" Schuler, 80, of Beallsville, formerly of Sardis, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Barnesville Hospital. She was born June 23, 1932 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas and Delores Funk Spears. Jackie was a retired secretary at Hannibal Elementary School. She was a member of the Monroe Singers and the Sardis United Methodist Church where she served as choir director for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Robin (Mark) Schuler Stephen of Beallsville; a daughter-in-law, Dana Schuler of Woodsfield; five grandchildren, Jessica (Quinn) Fallon of Columbus, Todd (Cathy) Schuler of Warner Robins, GA, Stephanie (Michael) Cunningham of St. Clairsville; Madison and Morgan Stephen of Beallsville; two great grandchildren, Drew and Emily Schuler; a brother, Tom Spears. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Fred "Fritz" Schuler; two sons, Terry Schuler and Tom Schuler; a daughter, Fritzie Schuler Alloway. There will be no visitation; a Celebration of Jackie's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Jackie's family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Sardis United Methodist Church, PO Box 85, Sardis, OH 43946.
