Clayton Eugene Crum, 84, of Jerusalem, died Friday, May 10, 2013 in UPMC Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born June 29, 1928 near Beallsville a son of the late Roscoe and Freda Howell Crum. He was a retired employee of the former CONALCO plant near Hannibal, a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of American Legion Post 768, Sunsbury Lodge 362, and OES 24. In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Mercer Crum on December 15, 1996, an infant daughter, Tama Lodena; two brothers, Chalmer and Bernard Crum; three sisters, Velma Hickman, Hazel Jenewein, and Zella Caldwell. Surviving are four sons, Reggie (Marlene) Crum of South Carolina, Brent (Pat) Crum, Brian "Buck" Crum (Sylvia Bowen), and Shawn (Renee) Crum, all of Beallsville; a daughter, Thalia (Tod) Kahrig of Miltonsburg; a brother, Gerald (Nellie) Crum of Beallsville; four sisters, Joan Decker and Freda May Barkheimer of Massilon, Donna Ruth (Bill) Kettering of Malvern, and Patty Lou (Eugene) VanDyne of Beallsville; 11 grandchildren Holli and Brian Crum, Tenice Decker, Talisa Crum, Tiffany Woodell, Brianna McConnell, Amanda Crum, Quinn, Alona, and Gavin Kahrig, and Pazeley Crum; eight great grandchildren, Beth Sexton, Carter McConnell, Mathen and Tayla Decker, Rylan Kinzy, Nylie Woodell, Liana and Haydn Bullington. Visitation will be held Monday, May 13th 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14th at 11 AM with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post 768. Masonic services will be conducted at 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
