David Lee "Dave" Anderson, 66, of Beallsville died Sunday, June 10, 2012 in Wheeling Medical Park Hospital. He was born May 12, 1946 in Harriman, TN, a son of the late James Arthur and Helen Irene Ryon Anderson. He was a US Army Veteran of the Viet Nam Era and a retired employee of Ohio Valley Coal #6 Mine. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Beallsville where he served as a Deacon, a member of Sunsbury Lodge #362, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge and OES #24. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a brother, James Anderson; a half-brother, Archie Anderson; two half-sisters, Viola Brown and Myrtle Huling. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Judy White Anderson; a daughter, Melissa (Kevin) Mason of Shawnee Hills and a son Mike (Nikki) Anderson of Wheeling, WV; a brother, Frank Anderson of Deer Lodge, TN; a sister Rose Freytag of Lansing, TN; a half-sister, Josie Dishman; two grandchildren, Jacob Anderson and Emily Mason. Friends will be received Tuesday (June 12) 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday (June13) at 11 AM with Wayne Clark officiating. Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post #768. Masonic services will be conducted Tuesday at 7:45 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Dave's family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gas Cards, Inc., c/o Shirley Brown, 48397 Keylor Hill Road, Woodsfield, OH 43793.
