David Allen Baker, 47, of Beallsville, Ohio, died Monday, May 25, 2015 near his home as the result of a tree trimming accident. He was born May 24, 1968 in Barnesville, Ohio, a son of Mary Ann Miller Baker Bolon and the late Lowell "Bud" Baker. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, a self-employed tree trimmer, a farmer, and a US Navy Veteran. Surviving in addition to his mother, Mary, of Woodsfield, are his daughters, Ann Marie and Laura Claire Baker; his special friend, Carrie Kinsey, and her children, Courtney and Chad; his sister, Brenda (Lyle) Barker of Paden City; two nephews, Nathan and Justin; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, May 29 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, with a Christian Wake to be held at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 30 at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church near Miltonsburg with Father David Gaydosik officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post 768.
