David Glenn Boughner

David Glenn Boughner, 65, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the James Cancer Center, Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 3, 1952 in Clarington, Ohio, a son of the late Glenn and Mary Truex Boughner. Dave was a 1970 graduate of River High School and served in the United States Army Reserves from 1972-1978. He was a member of the Mellott Ridge Church of Christ and retired after 42 years of service with the Quarto, Consol, and Murray Energy Coal Mines. Surviving are his first love, his devoted wife, Rhonda Friday Boughner, who he married on June 23, 1973; his beloved children, Alicia (Greg) Gaines of Cincinnati, Ohio; Anthony (Kim) Boughner of Strasburg, Ohio, Alan (Nicole) Boughner, and Aaron Boughner (Jennifer Murray) of Beallsville, Ohio; brother and sisters, Virgil (Delores) Boughner, Jackie (Mark) Ice, Barb (Chris) Foy, and Sheryl (Mark) Mercer. Dave was the proud Pap of eight precious grandchildren, Aria, Kiara, and Mariah Gaines, Kamron Potts, Isaiah, Hudson, Elijah, and Drake Boughner. Also left to mourn his passing are many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, friends, and neighbors. Dave's favorite pastimes include spending time with family, watching grandkids play sports, vacationing at the beach and mountains, riding four-wheelers, and taking the kids to the "crick." Visitation will be Friday, March 16 from 2pm to 8pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17 at 11am with Casey Tolzda and Danny Hayes officiating. Dave's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at the Barnesville Hospital ER and the James Cancer Center for their wonderful compassion and care.
