Donna J. Palmer

Donna Jean Palmer, 73, of Beallsville, died Saturday, January 01, 2011 in Barnesville Hospital. She was born September 22, 1937 in Stark County, a daughter of the late Orris and Viola Hager Whitmer. Donna attended East Sunsbury Baptist Church near Beallsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arvine Whitmer. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John A. Palmer; nine children Johnny (Deb) Palmer, Ronnie (Angie) Palmer, Tim Palmer, all of Beallsville; Donnie (Jackie) Palmer of Bethesda, Jeannie (Dave) Hammel of St. Clairsville, Judy (David) Crooks of Alledonia, Allen (Brenda) Palmer of TX, Scott (Deana) Palmer of Senecaville, Donna "Pie" (John) Mansfield of TN; 37 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 5 siblings, Gary (Judy) Whitmer, Judy (Bob) Dorkoff, Sue (Butch) Madison, and Mary (Dave) Poling, all of Navarre, and Betty (John) Neibel, of Massillon. Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville. Friends will then be received Wednesday from noon until the time of the funeral services at 1 PM at East Sunsbury Baptist Church near Beallsville with Pastor Jeffrey Cox officiating. Burial follows in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Donna's family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Harper Funeral Home, PO Box 250, Beallsville, Ohio 43716, to help defray the expenses of her funeral.
