Dora Marmie Brown, 68, of Beallsville died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, West Virginia. She was born August 19, 1944 near Alledonia, Ohio, a daughter of the late Wesley and Fern VanDyne Moore. Dora was a Nursing Assistant at the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehab Center and attended the First Christian Church, Beallsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Marmie and a son, Joe Marmie. Surviving are her husband, Howard; a son, Brian (Carol) Marmie of Cameron, Ohio; two step-children, Howard "Sonny" (Teresa) Brown of Columbus, Ohio and Kelly Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; her twin, Nora (Ronald) Pittman of Jerusalem; a sister, Alice Moore of Woodsfield; four grandchildren, Travis, Kari, Anissa, and Autumn Marmie; three great grandchildren, Jayen, Joey, and Blake; three step-grandchildren, Rachelle, Amanda, and Ashlynn, a daughter-in-law, Tina Marmie of Georgia. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM with Wayne Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Beallville Cemetery.
