Doris K. Headley

Doris K. Headley, 80, of Beallsville died Friday, January 11, 2013 in Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center, Barnesville. She was born December 29, 1932 in Miltonsburg, Ohio a daughter of the late Otto and Murl Starr Burkhart. Doris was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos on August 25, 1996 and a granddaughter, Sheena Ann on August 7, 2011. Surviving are four daughters, Cathy (Gerald) Louden, Karon (Dave) Caldwell, and Shelly Carpenter, all of Beallsville, and Reta (Tommy) Funk of Asheboro, NC; a son, Don (Ruth) Headley of Beallsville; a brother, Otto (Lou) Burkhart, Jr. of Woodsfield; four sisters, Carol Hunter and Kay Robb, both of Barnesville, Patty Sharrock of Kirtland, Ohio, and Charolette Morris of Woodsfield; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; also her beloved pet and devoted friend, "Duchess." Doris' family would like to offer special thanks to all her caregivers. Visitation will be held Sunday 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg with Rev. Fr. Leonard Cencula officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
