Dorsey B. Fluharty, 67, of Woodsfield, formerly of Jerusalem, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at his home. He was born February 19, 1944 in Barnesville, a son of the late Richard and Lola Maxine Harper Fluharty. He was a retired employee of the former Ormet Rolling Mill, a member of USW Local 5760 having served as finishing committeeman and plant grievance chairman, the Belmont-Monroe AFL-CIO having served as delegate, a member of Moose Lodge 2247, FOE 2302 where he served as a two-time past president, and a member of American Legion Post 768. Surviving are his wife, Lona Kozak Fluharty; his children Mark (Joan) Fluharty of Reynoldsburg, Jeff (Patty) Fluharty of Jerusalem, Melanie (Ted Noah) Fluharty of Parma, Michele (Rich) Namlik of Neffs, and Suzanne (Bill) Persinger of Shadyside; a brother, Jerry (Mayme) Fluharty of Utica, NY; a sister, Michele (Michael) Wilson-Kulhawik of Woodsfield; six grandchildren, Kayla, Shasta, David, Jake, Emily, Julia; also several nieces and nephews. Visitation will beThursday 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday. Interment follows in Jerusalem Cemetery.
