Edna Mae Truex, 96, of Sod, West Virginia, formerly of Monroe County died Sunday, October 6, 2019. She was born January 19, 1923 near Beallsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Everett and Pearl Miller Henthorn. Edna Mae was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Truex on March 24, 2009; also by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Gail Henthorn and Virgil and Bonnie Henthorn. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Janet Truex of Ronceverte, West Virginia and a daughter and son-in-law with whom she resided, Kathy and Vernon Adams of Sod, West Virginia; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; also one great great-granddaughter. Visitation will be Saturday, October 12 from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1pm with Evangelist Tom Butterfield officiating. Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery. Edna's family would like to thank Kanawha Hospice Care of Charleston, West Virginia for the excellent, care that was given to their mother and grandmother these last weeks and months.
