Glenn Mellott Obituary

Glenn F. Mellott, 87, formerly of Beallsville, Ohio died Monday, September 23, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital. He was born October 5, 1931, a son of the late Merle and Alma Reed Mellott. Glenn was a US Army Veteran and a retired employee of the former ORMET Aluminum near Hannibal, where he worked for thirty-three years. He was a member of the East Sunsbury Baptist Church near Beallsville and he enjoyed helping his brother on his farm. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Mellott. Surviving are his wife of sixty-three years, Della Mae Davis Mellott; son Ronald Mellott and his wife Janet of Jacobsburg, Ohio, daughter Mary Mellott King and her husband Jim of Sistersville, West Virginia; son Donald Mellott of Winchester, Virginia; daughter Terri Mellott of Winchester, Virginia; brother, Carlos Mellott of Beallsville; two sisters, Betty (Lloyd) Gallaher of Jerusalem and Irene Monte de Ramos of Kansas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 25 at 1pm with Pastor Jeff Horner officiating. Burial follows in Beallsville Cemetery.
