Hazel C. Kanzigg, 84, of Beallsville died Sunday, March 25, 2012 in the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born January 12, 1928 in Monroe County, a daughter of the late Clem and Victoria Carpenter Butler. She was a member of the Christian Church and attended both Grandview and Beallsville Christian Churches. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, on November 9, 2004; a brother, Vernon Butler; a sister, Hilda Burkhart; a son-in-law, Larry Ogilbee; and a great-grandson, Levi Ogilbee. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Ogilbee of Jacobsburg; three sons, Eugene (Donna) Kanzigg of Strongsville, Paul (Silvia) Kanzigg and Kevin (Carla) Kanzigg both of Beallsville; nine grandchildren, Lance, Justin, Jessica, Brian, Adam, Alexis, Alicia, Derek, and Stephanie; eight great-grandsons, Devin, Brady, Landon, Lane, Carson, Luke, Dominic, and Wyatt; her companion, Nelson Mobley of Paris; a sister-in-law, Cinderella Butler of Woodsfield. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Hazel's family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Gas Cards, Inc., (a program which provides gas cards to local cancer patients who are currently traveling to chemotherapy or radiation treatments), c/o Shirley Brown, 48397 Keylor Hill Road, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793.
