Helen A. Pennell, 98, a resident of the Monroe County Care Center and formerly of Beallsville, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Center. She was born January 10, 1914 near Armstrong Mills, a daughter of the late Oscar and Francis Wright Roberts. Helen was a member of the First Christian Church in Beallsville and also the Dorcas Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Warren, also by a daughter, Nancy Pennell O'Connor; three sisters, Emma Keney, Hazel Hopton, and Wanda Weekley. Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Wayne) Huffman of Woodsfield and her son, Dale (Mary) Pennell of Cambridge; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
