Irene Gallagher, 96, of Jerusalem, went home to be with her Savior, Saturday, February 22, 2014 while a patient in the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born September 27, 1917 in Monroe County, a daughter of the late Alonzo and Lillian Kinney McCollum. Irene was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hilton Coss, her second husband, Raymond Straight, her third husband Evangelist Jim Gallagher; an infant daughter, Faye Eileen Coss; her son-in-law, Dee Burrow; a great great-grandson, Brayden Britton; four brothers, Jim, Walter, Sumner, and Bill; four sisters, Meredith, Mildred, Dorothy, and Audrey. Surviving are her daughter, Delores Burrow, of Beallsville; three grandchildren, Bob (Christy) Burrow of Beallsville, Darren (Tricia) Burrow of Cambridge; and Nellie (Chris) Perkins of Alledonia; a sister, Doris Brooks; seven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM with Ministers Charles Schultheisz and Keith Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Graysville.
