James Stanley Hutchison, 76, of New Matamoras, Ohio, formerly of Rittman, Ohio died Monday, November 27, 2017 in Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 17, 1941 on the family farm near Beallsville, Ohio, a son of the late Robert and Anna Mellott Hutchison. James retired from the former PPG Plant in New Martinsville, West Virginia in 1999 after 41 years of service; he was a member of the Faith Gospel Church, New Matamoras, and a proud member of a local Bluegrass Gospel Band, the "Peace Makers." In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marjorie Lynn, also by five siblings, Robert, Jr., Martha, Mary, Arthur "Sam," and Esther. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Wilma Watts Hutchison; four daughters, Lori, Angela, Patty, and Vickie; a sister, Marjorie, and a brother, Carl "Nick," six grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday, November 30 at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville from 4pm to 8pm. Visitation will then be held Friday, December 1st in Wooster at the Roberts Funeral Home Sherwood Chapel, from 1pm until the time of the funeral service at 3pm with Minister James Watts officiating. Interment follows in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
