Jane Marie "Janie" Boles

Jane Marie, “Janie” Boles, 53, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away, Saturday, December 2, 2023 while a patient in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.  Born August 21, 1970 in Barnesville Hospital, Janie was a daughter of the late Walter “Tater” and Shelvie Mellott Boles. 

Janie will be remembered for her infectious smile, her love of sports, and her competitive spirit.  As a young girl in addition to participating in sports she was always involved with athletics in one way or another, whether it be teaching fundamentals to aspiring young athletes, coaching, announcing games, etc., Janie always came ready to play.  She was an avid Miami Dolphins fan, but her greatest joy came from spending time with family.  

Left to cherish Janie’s memory are two sons, Gage Steele (Miranda Baker) and Bradley Steele (Ashley Blackstone); a grandson, Greyson Steele, all of Woodsfield; a brother, Bruce Wilcox of Beallsville; a sister, Glenda Baker of Jacobsburg; a step-sister, Sandra Berry and a step-brother, Walter Boles. 

Honoring Janie’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.  A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
