Jeffrey Lee Gallaher, 69, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Monday, March 9, 2026 after a brief illness. He was born February 15, 1957 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the son of H. Lloyd and Betty Mellott Gallaher.
Jeff was an employee of the former ORMET Rolling Mill in Hannibal, Ohio and was a retired coal miner having worked in both the North American #7 Mine and Schumacher Mine. He was also a preacher for the Churches of Christ and served the congregations at Mt. Zion, Ozark, Armstrong Mills, Bethesda, and Bush.
In addition to his parents of Beallsville, Jeff is survived by his wife of 49 years, Loretta Truex Gallaher, whom he married on August 21, 1976. Also surviving are daughters, Shanna (Greg) Coss and Amanda (Jeremy) Kinney; grandchildren, Kaylee (Brett) Arnold, Abigail Kinney, Iris Kinney, Remi Coss, Lizzie Coss, and Emerald Kinney; a great-granddaughter, Alia Arnold; also a brother, Douglas (Pam) Gallaher.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, March 12 from 5pm to 8pm at the Beallsville Church of Christ, 52125 Township Rd. 134, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Friday, March 13 at 11am with Jeremy Kinney offering words of comfort. Burial will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, Jeff's family requests that memorial contributions to help with funeral expenses be made to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Bridgeport, Ohio 43912.
