Jesse E. Rush, Jr.

Jesse E. Rush, Jr., 83, of Powhatan Point, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 in Astoria Place of Barnesville, Barnesville, Ohio.  He was born May 23, 1941 near Beallsville, Ohio,  a son of the late Jesse Rush, Sr. and Ruth (Darby) Rush.

Jesse was a proud US Navy Veteran. He was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed browsing for antiques, going to auctions, and he was an avid NASCAR fan.  He will be remembered by all who knew him as an accomplished mechanic and a man devoted to his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rush.

Left to honor his memory are three children, Jesse (Peggy) Rush, III of Armstrongs Mills, Amanda (Donnie) Meadows of Powhatan Point, and Billy Jo Rush (Chelsei) of Bethesda; a sister, Eleanor Jean McCoy of Canton; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren with one more on the way; also many cherished friends, family, and extended family members.   Honoring Jesse’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. 

Private graveside services will be held at a time of the family’s choosing.
