Joann Marcum, 73, of Marietta died Friday in OSU's Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born February 6, 1939 near Logan, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Tandy B. and Hazel Marcum Hatfield; she was a member of the Marietta Church of God. In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dana Lou Hatfield and a brother, Terry Hatfield. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Clifford Marcum, Sr.; four sons, Clifford (Pat) Marcum, Jr. of Beallsville, Ohio, Barry Marcum of Owasso, Oklahoma, Bryan (Tammy) Marcum of Malaga, Ohio, and Donald Marcum of Marietta, Ohio; a sister, Lydia (Jim) Cumbo of Plain City, Ohio, and a brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Hatfield of Belle Center, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Brandon (Stacey) Marcum, Coty Marcum, Alicia (Ryan) Boyce, Clint Marcum, Anthony Marcum, Keith Marcum, Dustin Marcum, and Tyler Marcum; two great-grandchildren; also a special friend, Bob Martindill. Visitation will be held Monday at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM with Bishops John Coyle, Jack Marcum, and Kenneth Hatfield officiating. Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 N.
