Judith A."Jude" (Williams) Hitselberger passed away Wednesday morning, June 22, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, Ohio. She was born on March 7, 1938 to Charles and Rita (St. Pierre) Williams in Bay City, Michigan, and lived the majority of her life in Bay City until moving to Ohio to spend her final years with her oldest daughter.
She graduated from Bay City Central High School, continuing on to Bay City Junior College. On January 25, 1958 she married Charles H. Hitselberger at St. Boniface Church. She completed her education in Applied Science at Lorain Business College in Lorain, Ohio. She enjoyed her career as a medical secretary with MidMichigan Regional Medical Center, retiring in 2006. Throughout her life she also volunteered as a Red Cross instructor for first responders in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and as a hospital volunteer at the former Providence Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio, for many years. She was an avid knitter and singer up until her passing. Her generosity was endless.
Surviving are 4 children: Karen (Jefferson) Howell and Charles Hitselberger of Beallsville, Ohio, Gretchen Hitselberger and Rita (Glen) McIntyre of Burt Lake, Michigan; 11 grandchildren: Alex Cerveniak, Erik and Michelle Martin, Cydney Cory, Emily Howell, Charles and Michael Hitselberger, Emily Saunders, Aaron McIntyre, Amy Constant, Katy Kerr; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Coleman Cerveniak, Rayven and Trent Martin, Jackson and Olivia Gauthier, Kaylin and Jayson Cory, Fiona and Keegan Saunders, Autumn, Savannah, Levi and Payton Constant, and many nieces and nephews.
Jude was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents, Charles and Rita, and her sister, Karen Kaufmann.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Church, 510 North Lincoln Street, Bay City, Michigan Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11am. Committal will take place at the Baraga Village Cemetery, Baraga, Michigan, Thursday, August 4, 2022.
