Obituary

Karen Sue Marshall, 80, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday, August 14, 2023.  She was born on February 2, 1943 in Boston, Ohio a daughter of the late Wilfred and Leanna Riemenschneider Milhoan.

“Grandma Sue”  had always been a hard worker and she enjoyed caring for others.  She was a nurse’s aide, a hospice aide, and a construction worker.  She enjoyed square dancing and the jitterbug.  She was a kind, caring person who was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, James Hershberger and Tom Marshall; daughter, Pamela Jones; great-granddaughter, Madison Daniels; and sister, Brenda Macey.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rita Wiley; grandchildren, John “Buck” (Kelsey) Wiley, Rachele Wiley, James (Kari) Hershberger, Tabitha (Ray) Baker, Jennifer (Leslie) Daniels; great-grandchildren, Kierston, Wesley, Taylor, Tyler, Haven, Cooper, Brittany, Brandon, Bradley, Branson, Brady, David, Joe Don, Jacob, Clint, Azula, Bentley, Easton; great-great grandchildren, Brantley, Claire, Brody, Hensley, Waylon, JJ, and Evelyn; brothers, Larry (Betty) Milhoan, Steven (Millie) Milhoan; sisters, Bonnie Daugherty, and Jane (Mark) Yontz.

Visitation will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel, Beallsville, Friday, August 18 from 11am until the time of a remembrance service at 1pm when family and friends will be invited to join in as we honor Sue's memory by sharing their memories.  Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, the family is accepting donations to help with funeral expenses.  Donations may be sent to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Bridgeport, Ohio 43912.
