Kay Bell Obituary

Kathy "Kay" Smith Bell, 62, of Beallsville, died Saturday, September 6, 2014 in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born December 7, 1951 in Barnesville, a daughter of the late Virgil D. Smith and Doris Jean Boughner Smith. Kay was a member of the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church and a retired school bus driver for the Switzerland of Ohio School District; she was presently employed by McDonald's in Barnesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bell, on October 9, 2012, a step-son, Shawn Bell, and a son-in-law, Jeff Ross. Surviving are one son, Bryan (Shelly) Jones of Barnesville, her step-children, Kelly (Diane) Bell, Angela (Brad) Frase, Travis Bell, Heidi Ross, Kendra (Robert) Danehart; a brother, Larry (Karen) Smith of Beallsville; grandchildren, Stephanie and Tony Soto, Ashton Jones (Walter Ackerman), Amanda and Kevin Arigoni, Jamie and Jerry Andrews, Bryanna Perkins (Brandyn Shaw), Tristen, Kade, and Clarrissa Bell, and Monica Williams, Tammy, Renea, Lisa, and Jay Biggs, Shawna (Korey) Jurosek, Lillian Bell, Tyler Daniels, Zana Ross, Josalyn Danehart; great grandchildren, Samantha, Sarina, Katelyn, Aydan, Emmalee, Spencer, Alivia, Anna, Paisley, and Brayden, Cierra, Vonnesha, China, Mahki, Jyair, Aleeyah, Anijah, Amiyah, Samari, Parker, Rhianna, and Addison; also many, many friends. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, September 9 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10 at 1 PM with Pastor Tina Gallaher officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Kay's son, Bryan Jones, to help with final expenses at 350 West South Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713.
