Larry Jay Brown, 63, of Jerusalem passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 6, 1947 in Barnesville, Ohio a son of the late Floyd and Esther Groves Brown. He was an employee of the Monroe County Care Center, a member of the Bush Church of Christ and also attended the Beallsville Church of Christ. Larry was a member of the Monroe County Horsemen Association and enjoyed participating in wagon trains with his many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Jay and Terry Brown, two sisters, Evelyn Ward and Ruth Ann Lucas, an infant brother, Raymond Brown; also a nephew, Eugene Ward; a step-brother, Rodger Groves. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Sondra Riley Brown; two daughters, Tina (Scott) Clark of Ozark and Jayda (Buck) Baker of Barnesville; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Brown of Bellaire; step-mother, Geraldine Brown of Jerusalem; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Mary Lu Riley; grandchildren, Caitlin Brown, Josh Clark, Darren (Bradli) Baker, Ryan, and Karlie Baker, David (Crystal) Otto, Darek Otto, Stacy (Ed) Bradac and their children, Tiffanie, Danielle, and Evan; a great-granddaughter, Bryndalynn Rose Baker; two step-brothers, John (Judy) Groves and Nattie (Edna Mae) Groves, also several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17 from 2 to 9 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Friday, March 18 at 11 AM with Kim McFarland and Jeff Rich officiating. Interment follows in the Bush Cemetery near Malaga.
