Larry Franklin McDougal, Sr.

Larry Franklin McDougal, Sr. 76, of Beallsville, Ohio died Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his home.  He was born October 9, 1945 in Beallsville, a son of the late Lawrence and Eva Lee Mellott McDougal. 

Larry was a proud US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He worked for years at the former North American Coal #1 Mine and was a retired employee of the Sunsbury Township trustees. Larry was member of American Legion Post 768. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Paul McDougal. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Kathy Cheplic McDougal; three children, Larry McDougal, Jr., of Pittsburgh,  Christine Cole of Akron, and Brandi Ermilio of Wisconsin; a granddaughter, Makayla McDougal of New Martinsville; several nephews and nieces. 

Friends and family will be received Monday, December 20 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21 at 2pm with Father Tim Davison officiating. Burial will follow at Beallsville Cemetery with full military honors presented by American Legion Post 768.
