Linda Louise "Lou" Baker, 85 a resident of the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield, and formerly of Beallsville and Cleveland died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Liza's Place Valley Hospice Care Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born October 16, 1926 in Beallsville, a daughter of the late Vernon and Sara Polen Jeffers. Lou was a graduate of St. Luke's Nursing School and served briefly as an Army Nurse Cadet. She was a retired nurse at the former LTV Steel in Cleveland and she was a member of the former Highland Christian Church and presently was a member of the Beallsville First Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bob Baker; her two sisters, Phyllis Henry and Christine McCunniff; also by an infant brother, Paul. Surviving are her twin son and daughter, Jeffrey (Brenda) Baker of North Ridgeville and Jennifer (Terry) Ricer of Beallsville; six grandchildren: Kevin (Thea) Ricer, Kristin (Joshua) Renkes, Timothy (Jeni) Ricer, James (Ashley) Baker, Robert (Jacky) Baker, Thomas (Brooke) Baker; seven great-grandchildren: Zachary, Isabelle, Anneliese, Alexander, Nina, Ella, and Charlie; also many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM with Pastors Tina Gallaher and Richard Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
