Lola Mae VanDyne, 95, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Arbors of Woodsfield. She was born April 1, 1928 near Graysville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Encil and Delphia White Wingrove.
Lola was a member of the First Christian Church Beallsville and for many years she was the Scout Leader for both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of the Beallsville, Jerusalem, Malaga and surrounding communities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob VanDyne, a daughter, Linda Louden; a son, Dave Nippert; two brothers, Marion “Jiggs” Wingrove and Bill Wingrove; a sister, Lorna Knight; a granddaughter, Denise Lynn, and a grandson, Charlie.
Left to cherish her memory are four daughters, LaDonna (Ed) Carleton, Barbara Brunner, Rita (Jean) Donahue, and Bobbie (Jeff) Ward; two sons, Donnie Nippert and Ernie (Mechelle) VanDyne; a brother Elson “Lou” Wingrove; 20 grandchildren, Angie, Jimmy, Mandy, Lance, Candy Jo, Heather, Melissa, Amy, Beth, Gerald, Becky, Michael, Jamie, Donald, JoeDon, Collin, Landon, Amelia, Payton, and Wyatt; several great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 4 at Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel, Beallsville from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm with Wayne Clark officiating Interment will follow in Armstrong Mills Cemetery.
