Lucile E. Dalton, 84, formerly of Beallsville, Ohio, died December 7, 2009 at Scioto Community Retirement Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born November 5, 1925 in Epperson, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Arvie and Carl Edwards. Lucile worked as a teacher, beautician, and a bookkeeper. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Beallsville.
In addition to her parents, Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, Bryce Dalton, an infant brother, Cecil Edwards, and a grandson, Jeff Perkins. Surviving are five children; Becky Perkins of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Melissa Coffey of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Victor (Deb) Dalton of Beallsville, Ohio, Emily Dalton of Columbus, Ohio, and Kimberly (Brent) Tisher of Lewisville, Ohio; two sisters, Lenis Frerichs of Vonore, Tennessee, Lillian Witt of Logansville, Georgia; one brother, Joseph "Bud" Edwards of Madisonville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Tony (Stephanie) Perkins of Pleasant Hill, California, Chris (Nicole) Coffey of Lewisburg, Tennessee, Jasmine Dalton of Beallsville, Ohio, Ramsey (Amy) Tisher of Massillon, Ohio, Cameron Tisher of Josephine, Pennsylvania; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Bryce, Hannah, and Landon.
Lucile enjoyed many, many years of tending flowers, gardening, feeding hummingbirds, and watching her grandchildren grow. Friends may call Wednesday, December 9 from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Wayne Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
