Margaret Marie McCort Wain, 93, a resident of the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of Beallsville, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 in the Center. She was born January 16, 1920 in Malaga, Ohio, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Jessie Fogle McCort. Margaret was a retired beautician, a member of the Beallsville United Methodist Church, and OES #24. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob, a son, John, one sister, Ginny McCort, two brothers, Tom and Ed McCort. Surviving are one son, Bill (Debbie) Wain of Beallsville and one daughter, Melinda (Rob) Fisher of Whitehall; one sister, Betty Crahan of Gnadenhutten, Ohio; seven grandchildren; Ian Wain, David Wain, Elaine Alleman, Kayla Harman, Nicole Kinney, Dana Decker, and Rick Decker; 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville 6 PM to 8 PM where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 PM with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. Eastern Star services will be conducted Monday at the funeral home at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, Margaret's family requests that memorial contributions be made to Beallsville United Methodist Church, PO Box 61, Beallsville, OH 43716.
