Marion "Jiggs" Wingrove, 88, of Bethesda, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Barnesville Hospital. He was born May 14, 1926 in Graysville, West Virginia, a son of the late Encil and Delphia White Wingrove. He was a retired river boat pilot and a US Air Force Veteran. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Helen Truex Wingrove, one daughter, Kathy (Bert) Simonson of Jacobsburg; two brothers, Bill (Fran) Wingrove of Florida and Louie (Betty) Wingrove, of St. Clairsville; two sisters, Lola VanDyne of New Castle and Lorna (Harold) Knight of Powhatan; two grandchildren, Lisa (Ross) Thompson of St. Clairsville and Mike "Bert" (Beth) Simonson of Flushing; also four great grandchildren, Taylor, Cassidy, Tyler, and Emily. Jiggs will always be remembered for his love of the river and his dogs. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Jiggs' name to one of his favorite organizations, the Wetzel County Animal Shelter, RR 2 Box 57, New Martinsville, West Virginia 26155
