Martha McDougal Obituary

Martha M. McDougal, 90, of Big Prairie, Ohio and formerly of Clarington, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at her home. She was born February 23, 1922 near Clarington, a daughter of the late James and Julia Shaw Mellott. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Beallsville. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, George; five sisters and three brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Frances (Darrell) Dillon of Big Prairie and Emma Jean (Lloyd) Ferguson of Beallsville; a son-in-law, Holley Mobley of Big Prairie; a sister, Ethel Carpenter of Ashland; eight grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren, and eight great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, June 18 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 PM with Wayne Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Clarington Cemetery.
