Mary Lu Riley

Mary Lu Riley, 85, of Beallsville, Ohio died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born May 14, 1930 near New Martinsville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John and Lucinda Kirkman West. She was co-owner and operator of the former Riley's Sunoco Station in Beallsville and a member of the Beallsville Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Mary Lu was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Riley, Sr.; a son-in-law, Larry Brown; three grandchildren, Jay and Terry Brown, and Melissa Riley; three brothers, Marvin, Wilbert, and Lindsey; seven sisters, Mae, Opal, Alice, Ruth, Rosie, Katherine, and Hazel. Left to mourn her passing are four children, Sondra Brown of Jerusalem; Fred (Karen) Riley, Jr. of Pampa, Texas, Jack (Lisa) Riley, and Richard (Phyllis) Riley, both of Beallsville; one sister, Florence Holland of Beallsville, and one brother, Arville West of Norton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Tina (Scott) Clark, Jayda (Darrell) Baker, Bonnie Brown, Kendra Barnett, Daniel (Marta) Riley, Jeremy Riley, Scott Riley, Justin (Kelly) Riley, and Cyrena (Clint) Abbott; ten great grandchildren, Caitlin Brown, Darren (Bradli) Baker, Ryan Baker, Karlie Baker, Baylor, Brynlea, and Bronson Barnett, Cordelia Riley, Carter and Caylee Abbott; two great great granddaughters, Bryndalynn and Britton Baker; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 3 from 2pm to 4pm and 6 pm to 8pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 4 at 11am with Jeff Rich officiating.
